Online Product Catalog and Institutional Website

This platform was designed to provide a fast and intuitive browsing experience for Peugeot vehicles in the Ribeirão Preto region, modernizing the dealership’s legacy project with the latest technologies. The project includes the following features:

  • Product Catalog: With advanced filters and improved search functionality.
  • Institutional Pages: Highlighting the dealership’s services, history, and identity.
  • CRM Integration: For efficient management of customers and leads.
  • Stock System Integration: Connecting to the Volvo Thor stock management API.
  • Admin Panel: To manage promotional banners and update the dealership’s linktree.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the main challenges was to create a complete catalog system while upgrading to the latest Next.js 15 version. To address this, we refactored the legacy code and migrated the project to TypeScript, ensuring safer and more scalable code. Additionally, we implemented a caching system that significantly improved application performance.

Technologies Used

  • Frontend: Next.js for server-side rendering, optimizing SEO and overall performance.
  • Backend: Node.js with Express for data management and integration with the Peugeot stock system.
  • Database: PostgreSQL for reliable data storage and synchronization with the stock system.
  • Integration: With the Peugeot stock management system and the dealership’s CRM.
  • NextAuth: For user authentication and administrative access control.

Results

After launch, the platform achieved a 20% increase in customer conversions compared to the previous solution. The homepage load time was reduced by 60%, providing a much smoother user experience. Additionally, organic traffic grew by 25%, showcasing the impact of the implemented SEO improvements.

Lessons Learned

This project reinforced the importance of responsive design paired with scalable architecture. It also enhanced our understanding of performance optimization for large-scale Next.js applications. Finally, it provided valuable insights into aligning SEO and advanced functionality to serve the automotive market with excellence.
